High profile, market leading European Financial Services Organisation seeks a seasoned business facing developer analyst for their Warrants business stream. The company has identified the Australian and wider APAC market as a strategic opportunity for growth and so is investing heavily in upsizing it's operations here over the next few years. This has lead to strong growth in existing and new business aligned to Warrants (Long dated products, Structured Products, Fund Management, Rates).

The group is looking for an experienced VB/.NET Developer that has strong knowledge of the retail warrants business Retail and the product life cycle through primary issuance - reporting - registry - tax statements etc. The role will cover a large range of areas including but not exclusive to structured products, CFD's, Long Dated Products, Taxation, Installment Loan's, Primary issues of Warrants and funds management. Combining with key business figures you will then take ownership for all core local warrants systems for greenfield development, upgrades and enhancements. These systems have been developed on a variety of platforms and languages and require an experienced and diligent problem solver.

The role will be reporting to the head of the equity business, but will require you to become and integral part of the Warrants business and a proactive problem solver/solution designer to streamline the business processes. This role offers the opportunity to operate with a relative amount of autonomy whilst contributing to wider global applications. Ultimately you are the face of this team and the technical go to point in the Australian business.

The position requires the incumbent to have a broad range of IT skills and be capable of working in an environment that requires flexibility, problem solving, delegation and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities include:

• Development, and Upgrading of in-house Warrants applications (VB/.NET)
• Daily interaction with Business Analysts/Key Business Players
• Enhancement and 3rd Level Technical Support for Warrants Applications
• Wide exposure to a large range of business systems
• Develop the position to become the acknowledged domain expert for local applications
• Perform in an environment where multi-tasking, constant problem resolution and on-going risk assessment is the standard

Skills required include:

• 3 - 5 years VB/. Net Development Experience Unix, SQL
• 3 - 5 Years working with Warrants
• Strong Business Side Knowledge and Understanding of Warrants Terminology
• Microsoft Access and Visual Basic
• Any experience with SAP and or Business Objects highly advantageous

Non technical skills required include:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Self sufficient, highly motivated, resourceful individual
• Be a problem owner and solver with a logical approach to solving issues
