(C4) As one of the Application Architects you will focus on End-To-End Software Architecture Design and Governance. You will be overseeing Architecture Roadmap and Strategy for approximately 80 People. You will be providing leadership and direction across multiple and concurrent complex projects and teams. You will work as a credible expert in these areas having a thorough understanding of Software Solutions within the Mobile/Internet technical domains, with a good appreciation and understanding for Industry trends and competitor offerings. You will facilitate the smooth flow of Application Development from the Software Development teams by ensuring close working communication with internal technical colleagues including Development Managers, Solution Architects and Senior Software Engineers. To be successful in this role you should have;
Extensive hands-on experience with large scale software engineering. Strong technical leadership, negotiation and influencing skills Large-Scale Architecture Design Experience (2+ Years). Object Modelling tools (UML) Hands-on architecture experience on at least two SOA projects. Proven experience to be able to lead, guide and mentor Senior Engineers and Engineers Software Application Design - Minimum 5 years specific experience with the design and implementation of large business applications. Desktop Office tools Application development processes (At least 8 years experience in software engineering). Unix, Linux Internet protocols and services - Advanced understanding Experienced in Enterprise System Design, Development, Optimization and Performance tuning. Strong Database Knowledge (7 Years) including Oracle, MYSQL and Postgres Experienced in Multiple Software languages (eg J2EE/Java, C++, Perl) Competent in design and programming. Good Knowledge of Mobile and/or ISP Network environment and processes Experience in Application Server (WebSphere, WebLogic, Apache, Tomcat). Experience in Enterprise Service Bus & BPEL technology and products. Experience in major Portal products and technologies (eg XML/XSLT,JSP, Hibernate, Spring). Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline. Deep understanding and proven experience in SOA and Web Services. Experience in Industry Standards and Best Practices in Software Architecture and Design Full understanding of the software development life cycle and a variety of methodologies eg Waterfall and Agile Sound knowledge and proven experience of Test-Driven, Continuous Integration Development.
