This role provides the opportunity to join a very well established global award winning financial services organisation. The company prides itself on its unique offerings to the financial markets as it combines numerous high calibre technical individuals to solve global financial markets problems.

You will be developing solutions to meet business requirements using Powerbuilder, Sybase, Java; this is project work that will require interaction with various members of the team at different levels including business analysts, architects, consultants. The team will vary according to the project and you will be assigned on the basis of your ability and experience.

Technical skills/Responsibilities include:

• Senior Developer/coder: Powerbuilder, Sybase: advanced level essential
• Java, XML, XSL, Tomcat: essential
• Financial services/Wealth Management: strong advantage
• Varied project work.
• Ownership of local in-house developed Finance applications
• Wide exposure to a large range of business systems
• Develop the position to become the acknowledged domain expert for local applications
• Perform in an environment where multi-tasking, constant problem resolution and on-going risk assessment is the standard

Non technical skills required include:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Self sufficient, highly motivated, resourceful individual
• Be a problem owner and solver with a logical approach to solving issues
