Our client is a well known organisation and they require experienced Network Services Engineers for large scale network environment operations and support.
The Network Services Engineer role is to support, operate and maintain networking infrastructure within the project environment. This infrastructure underpins the hosting and workplace technology services. This role also contributes to the development of network designs, strategies and solutions. The measured result of these contributions is a superior level of project delivery and network operations.
The key accountabilities include Undertake complex technical analysis to assist with escalated service call closure related to new project delivery within SLA and timely problem resolution. Incident Management. To be the third level point of escalation for technical incidents impacting service delivery to customers and staff. Provide specialist advice to assist team members and colleagues in dealing with complex technical support issues. Provide specialist level network solution designs to achieve successful project delivery results. Contribute to the design of robust, scalable networks that meet or exceed SLA obligations (eg >98.5 %). Develop project briefs and proposals in line with technical and business requirements
Key Selection Criteria Proven experience providing level 2 and 3 customer service duties in networking technologies. Demonstrated experience in implementing large, complex network environments. Specialist level knowledge of complex network design incorporating virtualisation and MPLS. Demonstrated experience administrating and troubleshooting Firewall platforms. Demonstrated experience in participating in significant project delivery. Sound understanding of project governance and management. Experience working with ITIL aligned processes (Incident, Problem, Change and Release). Excellent verbal and written communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
