Program Management Office Delivery Specialist (PMO) Permanent position

This unique organisation in Australia has strategic plans in place requiring extensive ongoing projects and programs or work. The current requirement is for Program Specialist to manage and coordinate the successful operations of the program management office (PMO) to all associated projects.

Reporting to the PMO Manager, key duties include;
Implement and manage a Program Delivery Framework incorporating its Product Development Lifecycle Provide a centre of expertise, developing and maintaining consistent guidelines Identify and advise the Program Planner of improvements required to PPM tools. Provide briefings to program/project board members and programme/project assurance staff on their roles and responsibilities as required. Review completed programs and projects to distil good practice into existing approaches noting any factors which may be improved to reduce negative impacts to duration or outcome for the future. Keep abreast of and evaluate the effectiveness of new program and project management approaches that support the development and change management approach. Undertake checks on programs and projects at any time during the life cycle, when requested by the Strategic Delivery Manager, the program or project governance groups. Build and maintain a repository of good examples of project and program documentation and make available. Build and maintain a library of on-line resources for Program and Project Managers Experience. Management degree or equivalent and/or professional qualifications. Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) Practitioner and Prince2 Practitioner certified and deep experience in tailoring and aligning organisations to these approaches. Demonstrated experience in successfully implementing PPM improvements in a complex, politically sensitive organisation undergoing significant change. Demonstrated experience in the successful mentoring and facilitation of PPM community application and adoption of PPM approaches at the enterprise level. Demonstrated success in leading organisations to improved capability maturity for program and project management. Demonstrated experience in dealing with people at all levels in a complex multi-organisation environment. Superior written and verbal communications skills including board level reporting and management information. Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
