Senior Infrastructure Specialist

Sydney
Key responsibilities:
  • Providing 2nd & 3rd level (end-of-line) technical support and management of Servers, network, security, and systems - across the IT Infrastructure. Including proactive monitoring, capacity planning, documentation, and performance tuning - to ensure efficient operations whilst maintaining specific availability targets.
  • Management and provision of technical support for Servers, networking, SAN, security, and other infrastructure systems
  • Proactively monitor and complete capacity planning, and management of IT infrastructure

Key requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • MCSE, CCNA, VCP highly regarded
  • Knowledge of ITIL
  • Strong experience across Microsoft infrastructure systems:
  • Expertise in Windows Server 2000, 2003 & 2008 and SQL 2000, 2003 & 2008
  • Excellent understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy
  • Strong experience in Exchange 2007, Exchange 2007 (CCR) clusters, and messaging infrastructure

Strong experience (implementation and deployment) across the following is also required:
  • VMware ESX3.5 or ESX4.0 Infrastructure
  • Symantec Enterprise Vault
  • Procurve or Cisco Networking
  • Alcatel Phone Systems
  • EMC and HP EVA SAN
  • LAN/WAN inter-site networking design and implementation
  • Cisco ASA, Juniper SSL, and associated security infrastructure
