Key responsibilities: - Providing 2nd & 3rd level (end-of-line) technical support and management of Servers, network, security, and systems - across the IT Infrastructure. Including proactive monitoring, capacity planning, documentation, and performance tuning - to ensure efficient operations whilst maintaining specific availability targets.
- Management and provision of technical support for Servers, networking, SAN, security, and other infrastructure systems
- Proactively monitor and complete capacity planning, and management of IT infrastructure
Key requirements: - Relevant tertiary qualifications
- MCSE, CCNA, VCP highly regarded
- Knowledge of ITIL
- Strong experience across Microsoft infrastructure systems:
- Expertise in Windows Server 2000, 2003 & 2008 and SQL 2000, 2003 & 2008
- Excellent understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy
- Strong experience in Exchange 2007, Exchange 2007 (CCR) clusters, and messaging infrastructure
Strong experience (implementation and deployment) across the following is also required: - VMware ESX3.5 or ESX4.0 Infrastructure
- Symantec Enterprise Vault
- Procurve or Cisco Networking
- Alcatel Phone Systems
- EMC and HP EVA SAN
- LAN/WAN inter-site networking design and implementation
- Cisco ASA, Juniper SSL, and associated security infrastructure
