High profile, Global Investment Management organisation seeks an experienced Test Analyst that has worked extensively within the fund management area. A core funds system is being upgraded within one of the most profitable areas of business creating a 6 month contract requirement for a seasoned test analyst. Working with a large degree of autonomy you will liaise with Project Managers, Business Analysis and Development teams to ensure that applications meet requirements and are of high quality. You will then be responsible for producing quality Test deliverables as part of an existing BAU test team. A key part of the teams responsibilities is first level analysis of issues/defects identified in test environment setup or during test execution, reporting and escalating as appropriate for Testing progress and Risk issues. The position requires the incumbent to have a broad range of IT skills and be capable of working in an environment that requires flexibility, problem solving, delegation and strong interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities include: Produce Quality Testing deliverables (Test Strategies, Test Plans, Test Conditions Matrices, Test Scripts, Reporting.) Work with Project Managers, Business Analysts and Development Teams Review Business Requirements, Functional Specifications and Test Cases to understand functional and technical requirements. Defect Management and tracking through to completion Maintenance/Support of the QA Testing environments Skills required include: MINIMUM - 5 years Quality Assurance/Testing experience within Finance Domain Financial Experience in Fund Accounting, Fund Services, Fund Administration, Registry or Custody. Experience with Investment Management Software (ideally Hi-Port) Experience testing Client Server Applications ISEB or ISTQB Testing qualification QA Testing of applications on a Unix Platform QA testing of Client Server applications in a Windows environment Strong Back End & Integration Testing Experience Strong SQL Coding Ability Mercury Quality Centre - ability to execute test cases and document actual results within the tool.
