As a development manager, your purpose is to own, develop, manage and communicate the development methodology throughout its life cycle. The role is accountable for ensuring that solutions developed comply with agreed architectural principles and key production systems, criteria and standards.

As a Development Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Manage activities and timelines in designing and developing software in line with business priorities. Vendor Partnerships
- Maintain relations communicate effectively with external vendors Resource Management
- Coordinate/Prioritise key development activities to all project stakeholders.
- Work with the Project Manager and Testing Manager to determine if project milestones can be met.
- Source development and design estimates from 3rd Party vendor, Functional and Technical analysts
- Ensure that appropriate procedures, processes and tools are in place for all software development, test and release activities.
- Represent/Chair all project development meetings, including design reviews, 3rd party vendor development/consultant catch-ups and status update meetings with the business.

To be considered for this role, you must have a strong mix of the following key skills:-
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, or related IT qualifications preferable 3 - 5 years of experience in software development management. Experience in planning, setting clear goals and assigning responsibilities. Ability to listen, relate to and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization and client base. Exhibit excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the view to building strong relationships. Demonstrated understanding of systems development approaches (Agile Project Mgmt experience preferred). Previous experience in leading a development team through a mid to large scale Hardware or Software implementation. Values time as a premium asset is achievement oriented
