The Portfolio Administration arm consists of a mid-sized team based across Sydney and Melbourne. They focus on providing Investment Management systems to their Financial Services clients. The Portfolio Administration system includes Unit Pricing, Unit Registry, Funds Management, Managed Accounts and Tax Management amongst other areas. The significant element of the role involves building and enhancing existing client relationships as well as generating new client relationships. You will be working on key projects comprising of upgrades, be involved in new implementations and working alongside large development teams on complex products; also part of your role will be involving in Administration side, the environment is demanding and challenging and will suit an individual that thrives within this space. You must derive from a strong IT background and Project Management skills are essential. Responsibilities include: - Must have good presentation and communication skills, written and verbal
- Strong interpersonal and client relationship management skills
- Self-driven, motivated, organised, goal oriented and able to take full ownership and responsibility for actions
- Varied role: consisting of gathering business requirements, mapping, analysis, preparation and review; plan out activities; contract adjustments/renewals; monthly basis checking that being charged correctly and following up payment of invoices.
- Ongoing interaction with clients for new opportunities: must have strong credibility
- Coordinating with external clients and the Sales team.
- Facing off to senior management, including close interaction with the business
- Perform in an environment where multi-tasking, constant problem resolution and on-going risk assessment is the standard
Skills required include: - Project Manager: experience in delivering IT projects (full SDLC, implementations, upgrades):essential
- Financial knowledge and experience required: Portfolio Administration or Unit Registry and some Australian Tax: essential
- Other broad financial knowledge is an advantage: eg Funds Management, Managed Accounts, Tax Management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Self sufficient, highly motivated, resourceful individual
- Be a problem owner and solver with a logical approach to solving issues
