Risk Advisory help our clients identify, manage and elevate their preparedness for risk, driving the risk agenda across key areas of the Australian economy.

Our Cyber Intelligence Centre (CIC), a 24x7 threat intelligence service that monitors and responds to cyber threats, is proactively helping organisations protect their network, systems, applications, information and reputation in real-time.  The Sydney CIC is part of a global network of Deloitte Centres of Excellence (CoE) and Delivery Centres.

 About the Role
This position forms a key role in the Australian CIC based in Sydney. With service expansion and growth we are looking for experienced professionals across a range of information security disciplines.

 As part of the CIC engineering team, you will be primarily responsible for day to day systems administration and maintenance of the tools in our shared services environment, as well as supporting some system components in client networks. In addition to this you will be involved in on boarding new clients to our services and working with them resolve issues and challenges as they arise

We’re looking for a candidate experience in IT systems administration & engineering, ideally with some exposure to security and basic knowledge around security concepts & tools with an interest in learning more and becoming more involved in cyber security engineering.

We’re looking for someone with strong analytical and problem solving skills who can be relied upon to effectively maintain our tools to the highest standards and proactively learn and develop their personal skillset in the security space.

About your experience
Successful applicants will have/be:

• Previous experience in Systems Administration or Engineering roles
• Working knowledge of common business IT systems and experience managing and maintaining such platforms
• Technical experience in general Information Security practices, TCP/IP networking and routing fundamentals, Unix/Linux system administration, network troubleshooting.
• Experience building or managing solutions in cloud hosted environments such as AWS, Azure or Google cloud offerings.

In addition experience or working knowledge of the following would be highly desirable:

• Scripting skills highly desirable. (Python, JS/JSON)
• Experience with SIEM platforms such as ArcSight or Splunk or data search and indexing solutions like ELK.
• Experience integrating business systems with a SIEM platform
• Experience with cyber analytics, or security orchestration and automation tools.
• Amazon AWS automation and technologies
• An individual willing to taking on new challenges, gain new skills and work collaboratively in a dynamic and rapidly growing team.
