Vix is a global organization and a leader in automated fare collection for over 25 years. Vix continues to move forward by offering our next generation cloud-based products using a mix of open source and cloud-based services that are leveraged to build a highly available, highly scalable software as a service for our many customers around the world. We are rapidly moving ahead with a data-native transformation team and are looking for a talented and passionate Data Engineer to join us.

Our data pipeline is serverless, automated and fully cloud native, incorporating AWS S3, Kinesis, SQS, Lambda and Snowflake. So far in our journey, we have incorporated data from our core transactional databases and semi-structured data from operational systems to provide insights through visualization tools. As a Data Engineer at Vix, you will play a key role in our next phases of work, developing visualisations, incorporating data from third-party sources and building out our machine learning and predictive analytics architecture to help create a better customer journey.

To excel in this role you will need:

• Advanced knowledge of SQL, data lakes and analytical data warehouses and a genuine passion for the power of data
• Experience implementing automated ETL or ELT pipelines in a cloud native environment
• Experience using modern visualization and machine learning tools
• Tertiary qualifications in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or equivalent
