The successful candidate will work between two sites. Lantern Club based in Roselands & Springwood Sports Club. Both sites fall within the Mingara Group.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within both teams with the support of the Group ICT Manager and Information Technology Officers at Mingara. This highly sought-after position seeks an experienced candidate who has a humanistic-encouraging approach to leadership. Working with each destination leadership team, you would develop and implement Information Technical strategies to support the Club’s business objectives in consultation with the General Managers, whilst ensuring our destinations core IT objectives are being upheld and maintained. 

To fulfill this role you possess at least 2 years’ experience as an IT Officer (or in a similar position) in a medium-sized organisation. You will need to be an organised member of the team with the ability to adapt to a changing environment and have a strong work ethic. In addition this role requires working within teams at two destinations so a positive attitude is a must. While the majority of your hours of work would be Monday - Friday, we are hospitality venues, and occasionally we will need you to work outside regular office hours. You will also be required to share an on-call support roster which is approximately 1 week per month.  To take on this role as IT Destination Leader your focus is:

  • An ability to take ownership and work both autonomously & inclusively

  • To provide first level technical support of the LAN and provide assistance to WAN environments when required. Provide remote support to other destinations when required. 

  • Assist in the admin of LAN and WAN (data management, communications, security and printing facilities)

  • Preparation and submission of reports 

  • Participate in various Group and Destination meetings as required

  • Compile and Monitor the Destination ICT budgets whilst continuously monitoring performance and efficiencies of ICT systems, hardware and networks 

  • Participate in strategic planning for ICT related requirements

 Required Experience:

  • Level 1-2 Help Desk/IT support and with internet customer support 

  • PC Hardware configuration and in utilizing a variety of PC software 

  • Supporting LANs, PC operating systems and desktop software 

  • Administration of LAN environment 

  • Security Administration utilising Active Directory and Group Policy 

Required skills: 

  • Possession of relevant qualification (working towards one) or equivalent work experience

  • Certification as a MCP/similar

  • Certificate as MCSA/MCITP desirable 

  • Knowledge and understanding of end user requirements 

  • Good communication, interpersonal and training, problem solving, time management and analytical skills
