Information Technology Project Officer – Six Month Term

Armidale Regional Council’s Information Technology and Knowledge team are currently seeking an IT Project Officer to join and support the team through a range of projects for a six month term.

This role is a great opportunity for anyone to provide experience on a range of business critical and non-critical projects within Council’s IT Department. This position is responsible for the provision of Project Management expertise to a range of business critical and non-critical projects within Council’s IT Department.

Develops and maintains various technical reports including business-IT investment and IT project performance (budget, schedule and resources). The position may be required to provide Level 1-2 IT helpdesk support during periods of staff leave or peak workloads providing plenty of variety to each day.

This position currently provides a weekly rate of pay from $1,373.09 to $1,578.50 (plus superannuation) along with the opportunity to work a 9 day fortnight.  

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to build and maintain strong collaborative relationships  
  • Previous experience with delivering technology projects, such as migrations, upgrades, enhancements and enabling new technologies  
  • Experience with assisting with the development of forward forecasts for IT projects.
