Our client, a well known Healthcare organisation is seeking to appoint an Infrastructure Project Manager to join the team on a permanent basis.
Part of a team of 4 Project Managers reporting into the Infrastructure Group Programme Manager, the client has a total of 24 Infrastructure projects in flight and to commence and the main responsibility of the successful Project Manager will be to act as the primary contact between all project stake holders to provide guidance on all aspects of the project life cycle.
The successful Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring all technical requirements and deliverables have been designed according to and are aligned with the organisations technology stack including ensuring all testing requirements have been completed and documented in detail.
Cross communication with a myriad of project team members across Engineering, Technical Services, Security, PM’s, business stakeholders and vendor contacts will be part and parcel of the role.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Clearly communicate technical scope and issues to non-technical partners
- Develop detailed project schedules, modify updates, and communicate timeline expectations to stakeholders and project teams, provide all stakeholders with regular project schedule and status updates
- Escalate any risks to the manager in a timely fashion to ensure contingencies can be invoked rapidly to avoid incidents occurring
- Capture business requirements and translate those in to technical solutions through consultation
- Manage, log and track tasks with platform owners and follow up to completion
- Support projects by creating, revising and maintaining technical and reference documents
- Develop templates which reflect best practice and enable the business to operate more efficiently
- Ensure complex technical and reference documents are thoroughly cross-referenced, factually correct, and delivered in a clear and easy to use manner.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the audience and the documentation required by meeting with colleagues, and working with managers to discuss technical problems
- Research and build knowledge about products, services, technology, or concepts
- Work collaboratively with subject matter experts in order to ensure that specialised topics are appropriately addressed and discussed
- Revise, edit, or update instructions, technical information, and frequently asked questions as necessary
- Create, adapt, and follow project schedules and deadline
- Remain up-to-date on technological and product developments as well as universal specifications relevant to his or her industry
- Communicate and negotiate effectively with all staff to ensure work priorities are known and managed.
- Manage own time to ensure deadlines are met.
- Ensure compliance and system security is not compromised and take appropriate action to prevent and report any identified security issues/breaches to your Manager.
- Establish and maintain highly effective working relationships with relevant staff between the clients IT and the clients Healthcare’s Business Entities
- Fulfil responsibilities of this role in accordance to the clients core values, organisational security policies and procedures and actively safeguard corporate and client assets

Selection Criteria:
- Australian Citizenship or permanent residency status essential
- Interstate travel may be required occasionally
- Formal Project Management qualification
- Industry recognised Project Management Certifications
- Strong experience managing work streams and full projects end to end
- Proven experience in working with a variety of stakeholders to research, analyse and document business process and software requirement specifications
- 4+ years of hands-on technical infrastructure engineering project management
- 4+ years of experience in Information Technology
- 4+ years of demonstrated project management delivery across different types of high-risk, high-value, complex IT projects
- Experienced in production support, Release & Change Management
- Proven technical project management skills with demonstrated, applied experience establishing and delivering complex technical and infrastructure projects
- Strong experience with resource estimation, budgeting and project Planning
- Criminal History and Background checks are a requirement of the role
