So what?
BizCover is hunting for an experienced IT Service Operations Manager reporting to the Head of IT Operations. The service operations manager is responsible for infrastructure, cyber security and accompanying processes and services. You will drive the implementation of our cyber security roadmap and improvements to our service operations processes utilising internal resources and external partners. This new role is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join a dynamic growing business, innovate and work with cloud technologies such as AWS and Office 365.
What you'll be doing?
- Provide leadership and project management for IT infrastructure, cyber security and support processes working with internal IT staff and external service provider
- Responsible for developing and delivering the overarching cyber security strategy and roadmap including disaster recovery, business continuity, risk management, vulnerability and patch management, SSO/MFA etc
- The maintenance and improvement of the desktop standard operating environment
- Capacity planning for corporate and platform infrastructure
- The corporate audio visual, WAN, LAN and VoIP systems
- Monitoring and alerting of IT infrastructure and the BizCover platform processes including backups and restores
- Employee onboarding and offboarding process and systems
- Active Directory, Exchange Online, Office 365 and accompanying services
- Provide hands-on support for BAU tasks, improvements and project related work
- Be available to assist afterhours with project activities and during critical production issues
Also as a 2IC to the Head of IT Operations, you will provide input and support to:
- Defining, monitoring, reporting and reviewing SLAs and the performance of all IT operational support services to ensure that adequate levels of service are delivered
- A point of contact for IT operational support escalations
- Driving operational efficiencies through problem management and process improvement
- Proactive approach to explore new technologies, solutions, trends and processes to improve current and future state
- Providing in-depth reporting and establishing service metrics and standards
- Managing relationships with product and service providers
- Interfacing with business unit managers to define infrastructure support initiatives and solutions for improving service efficiency and effectiveness
Who we want?
- At least 5 years commercial IT experience including managing teams responsible for infrastructure and operations
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar
- You are a team player, an effective team builder and experienced people manager
- You demonstrate self-managing skills with the ability to prioritise your goals
- You hold yourself accountable, take responsibility and expect others to do the same
- You have a can do attitude and are willing to go the extra mile
- You act strategically focusing on the future with the ability to adjust your strategies to capture emerging opportunities, tackle unexpected challenges and improve current operational conditions
- You are an effective communicator and always maintain a positive outlook
- You are a problem solver and can make decisions under rapidly shifting circumstances
- Knowledge in Office 365 and Exchange Online is highly desirable
- Knowledge in AWS is highly desirable
