Building our Talent
We are currently seeking applications from Junior Level 2 Deskside Support individuals who are looking to develop their career as part of our Global IT Team. Reporting to the National Deskside Team Leader, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to all Multiplex users by investigation and resolving all computer hardware and software related issues, from level 2 through to level 2.5 troubleshooting. The successful candidate will be required to provide support all users at head offices as well as out on sites.
Key Accountabilities:
* Day-to-day activities as requested by the Regional Deskside Team Lead.
* Perform VIP support as/when required.
* Regularly attend construction project site offices for health checks and routine visits.
* Provide computing support to clients, responding to telephone calls, emails and personnel requests for technical support.
* Ensure timely attention to requests to meet service SLAs, in keeping with IT processes.
* Diagnose incidents/problems through the lifecycle of the support ticket, while ensuring the end user is always informed of its progress.
* Identifies, researches, documents and resolves incidents.
* Make or recommend system modifications to reduce reoccurrences.
* Prepare IT equipment for delivery via courier where applicable.
* Coordinate with vendors for hardware warranty repairs and gives feedback on replacements and upgrades when necessary.
* Perform setup and basic troubleshooting of Audio Visual systems (projector, digital whiteboards and video conferencing systems such as Polycom).
* Escalation of issues/risks to Team Lead, Service Management and Level 3 technical teams as and when required, in keeping with IT policies and processes
* Potential weekend and/or afterhours support may be required at the request of the Deskside Team Lead or IT Project Manager.
Key Skillset Required:
* Degree or similar qualification (preferred)
* 1 – 2 years' experience in a similar role (ideally with remote site support)
* Excellent interpersonal skills to support both technical and nontechnical personnel at all levels, throughout the organization.
* Must have a strong dedication to customer service.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills required, especially the ability to listen and understand what is being described, with attention to detail in transcribing communications into the ticketing systems.
* Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
* Highly knowledgeable on desktop, laptop, mobile devices (common smartphones and tablets), and supported vendor products and services.
* Working knowledge of help desk ticketing system (e.g. ServiceNow, Footprints, Remedy) and remote assistance tools such as Remote Desktop Connection, OCS SCCM and TeamViewer.
* Working knowledge of imaging Windows 7, Management tools, and other productivity products in a networked environment.
* ITIL v3 work experience
