About the role

The Mid-Level Salesforce Developer will be responsible for designing and implementing complex solutions on Salesforce platforms. This is a hands-on role that requires a deep understanding of the Salesforce platforms.

As a Mid-Level Salesforce Developer, you'll be accountable for ensuring all projects follow best practises and are built in robust, scalable and secure way across the breadth of the Salesforce project and BAU teams.

Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):

• Review business requirements and propose Salesforce solution options using best practice. Identify what can be done with config and what needs code.
• Configure custom objects, page layouts, record types, validation rules, workflow rules, process builders, lightning app configuration, profiles and permission sets, role hierarchy and sharing, reports and dashboards, SOQL, data loader, deployments with change sets
• Liaise with Salesforce developers for custom development: Apex and Visualforce code, Lightning components, triggers etc.
• Quickly develop Proof of Concepts and play back to business.
• Providing guidance and mentoring to other team members.
• Facilitating business workshops, write, write process maps, troubleshoot defects.
• Proposing solution options and help business to choose while balancing the business requirement against time/cost to implement, complexity, future maintainability, usability, etc.
• Developing implementation documentation for handover to application support and help desk.

To be considered you will need to have the following skills / experience:

• 3-5 years' of experience in Salesforce development.
• Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II or relevant Salesforce Development Certifications.
• Expert knowledge of Apex, Visualforce and Lightning components, sharing, security and Salesforce configuration.
• Deep understanding of the configuration side of the platform, and how to get the most out of it.
• Proven track record in leading the technical delivery of Salesforce implementations across multiple organisations.
• Experience implementing and customising Sales Cloud, Service Cloud & Communities.
• Strong knowledge / experience with Salesforce Lightning implementation, essential.
• Life Insurance industry experience, an advantage.
