We're seeking a talented Principal DevOps Engineer to manage the on-going delivery of our clients services. You’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining the cloud infrastructure that supports a number of applications. These include streaming live content 24/7, running video-on-demand transcoding pipelines, managing user and media databases, keeping everything secure with authentication and authorisation systems and recording all system events for business analytics purposes. All of this needs to be done while keeping the system highly available and scalable.

You’ll be working closely with a team of app developers so good interpersonal skills will go a long way.

To be successful in this role you'll have experience (to varying degrees) with below technologies and methods:

• Experience with Agile methodologies, effective working independently managing a small team
• Extensive experience using AWS services, SDKs and APIs
• Experience using Serverless technologies including AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, Cognito and Elasticsearch
• Deploying services with infrastructure-as-code tools, preferably Serverless and CloudFormation, but others will be considered
• Strong TypeScript/Javascript development skills with a good understanding of Functional coding style
• Developing front-end applications using React, Redux and Redux Sagas
• Developing monitoring for complex AWS environments
• Building and running CI/CD pipelines with GitHub, AWS CodeBuild and AWS CodePipeline
• Designing, building and documenting REST and GraphQL APIs
