Project Manager | Technical | Health Systems Start Date: ASAP Contract role: 6 months (potential to extend if required) Location: Bondi Junction
Our client is a local independent business medium-sized and with an excellent ever-growing list of work opportunities involving CX and public/gov sector. They are looking to grow their fab team to cater to some major projects that are set to begin end of March.

Overview for this vacancy:

The Project Manager is wholly responsible for ensuring that allocated project resources are being utilized effectively and productively and that processes are streamlined in order to maximize output. They will be responsible for ensuring project management diligence and disciplines are being applied, and that projects are completed on time, on budget, to scope, and with minimal risk to the business. This position will take responsibility for leading, supporting, and managing duties and tasks associated with the execution of projects and the implementation of solutions to our client base. The Project Manager will also provide key stakeholders with regular project insight and updates. They will build and maintain trusting relationships and provide prudent and timely recommendations for risk avoidance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish plans and actions to ensure that projects are delivered in accordance with customers’ expectations
  • Create, manage, and execute project work plans and schedules
  • Ensure projects are delivered within specified budgets, timelines, and to the scope agreed by all stakeholders
  • Effectively apply chosen project methodology and enforce project standards
  • Oversee quality control procedures and deliverables
  • Support operational tasks outlined by the project methodology and within the project scope
  • Identify resources needed, and assign and track individual responsibilities
  • Lead and manage project teams, ensuring roles are clearly defined and understood and agreed requirements and disciplines are met
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of projects and their scope
  • Manage multiple and often complex projects simultaneously
  • Actively manage and mitigate risk and exposure to the project and business
  • Ensure that effective controls are maintained to safeguard the integrity of the organization
  • Ensure project documents are completed and stored to the expected standard
  • Track and report on project hours, expenses, and run rate on a weekly basis
  • Engage in sales/presales activity relevant to project execution
  • Set and manage customer expectations
  • Proactively communicate with customers to identify needs, requirements, and evaluate alternative business solutions
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure proactive, effective and constructive communication and teamwork

You will need:

  • 3 years’ experience in an IT or Business Project Management role and the deployment of software solutions to large scale customer-facing environments
  • 2 years’ experience in the health sector – ideally having worked with hospital/patient management systems previously
  • Hands-on Project Team experience
  • Extensive experience in information technology, software development, and solution delivery
  • Familiarity with the operational processes and procedures relevant to our customer base
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Effective planning and scheduling skills
  • Competence in Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to work with systems and processes and identify and implement improvements
  • Formal Project Management Methodology training advantageous
  • Expert attention to detail
  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts and adapt to change
  • Outcomes driven, with the ability to prioritize effectively
  • Ability to work effectively and supportively within a team environment
  • Ability to communicate ideas and results effectively in technical and non- technical language.
