A bit about your role
Senior Business Security Manager will play an important role in defining the Business security for Australia's national communications infrastructure supporting industry, defence and the vast majority of the Australian population.

Reporting to the General Manager Security Strategy, Architecture and Consulting the Senior Business Security Manager will work closely with the Security Group and to support the definition of formal security build trusted relationships and support the education of critical control owners on their responsibilities
Some of the key responsibilities are:

• Collaborate and engage with business stakeholders and peers in security teams to elicit security requirements for future technologies and practices,
• Support
• Elicit security requirements - IT, physical and privacy for major business transformation projects; Develop and deliver targeted training to nbn control owners, data sponsor & managers and other identified key roles
• Provide SME support and conduct training regarding security control requirements to relevant business stakeholders (business data stewards, information owners);
• Collaborate and integrate security practices, techniques and methods across all security teams to enable management reporting;
• Work in a highly collaborative manner within the Security Architecture, Security Consulting to continuously improve the functions maturity;
• Support the Senior Business Process Security Specialist in defining security requirements and controls for different data/information classification types;
• Work with Senior Business Process Security Specialist and relevant business stakeholders to ensure security controls are consistently applied across different data/information classification types.

A bit about you
As the Senior Business Security Manager, you will have extensive experience in business processes and business analysis and have an of understanding technical security threats, trends and security standards.

In this role, the Senior Business Security Manager will have exceptional time management and people management skills to manage team demands within required timeframes and work within a highly collaborative working environment, where all security stakeholders are engaged.
Strong Consulting and Stakeholder Management experience, along with the ability to deal with ambiguity and recommend solutions.
In addition to these skills:

• Experience in security governance, risk and compliance in large technical diverse organisations;
• Understanding of the value chain throughout security design (protection and detection) and implementation across a complex technology environment;
• Experience with developing stakeholder relationships and overseeing the delivery of security solutions;
• Experience with process modelling tools such as Signavio;
• Working knowledge of globally & nationally accepted security standards;
• Experience with control frameworks such as ISO27000;
• Any Industry recognised security certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM desirable;
• Business Analyst certification such as CBAP or equivalent or Lean Six Sigma certifications with Black Belt;
• An effective and efficient communicator with good leadership skills;
