As a member of the Java and Deployment Infrastructure development group you will work closely with other Dev-Ops engineers, product owners and QAs in an agile (scrum) team performing estimation, design, build, integration, unit test and support deployment activities. This is a key role within the project team, requiring a balance of technical expertise, application integration, effective communication, leadership and collaboration.

Your responsibilities

• Development and unit testing of an infrastructure framework underpinning several ABB products.
• Working closely with Architects and QA staff to design and develop software solutions and at times architect and design solution.
• Working with the technical document writer to provide relevant information and context of the solution.
• Performing and support the deployment of software releases to various environments. Contributing and driving relevant design discussions/workshops.
• Participating and preparing for release and sprint planning.
• Assisting with root cause analysis and correction of defects.

Your background

• Ability to work collaboratively with Architects and QA staff.
• Skilled working with Product Infrastructure Cloud Technologies and DevOps system Administration scripting technologies and languages.
• Experience in cloud platform design, development, deployment and support.
• Experience in bringing user requirements to "life".
• Strong communication and consensus building skills. Your skills are language, framework, and toolset agnostic.
