The Client:

Southland Supply Group is a leading industry supplier of Personal Protective Equipment, PPE, Workwear, Clothing and Footwear, Clothing and Footwear, Construction Site Equipment in Australia. They now seek a competent Software Engineer (Dynamics NAV Developer) to join the head office team in Lawson, NSW.

The Role:

This Software Engineer (Dynamics NAV Developer) role designs, develops, modifies, documents, tests, implements, installs and supports software applications and systems. This role is suited to an individual with at least 2 years' post qualification experience and expertise working on complex applications development, front end development and implementation, problem solving and other related tasks.

It is for a full-time role with an annual salary of $ 90,000 plus superannuation.

The Responsibilities:

Design

• Collaborating with the consultants in writing the specifications
• Review the design documentation and related estimations
• Well documented design document

Scope Management

• Should execute all requirements as per project scope
• Inform Project Manager about out of scope requirements
• Minimal out of scope implementation

Development & Deployment

• customization of the product to meet the needs of the customer based on the specifications from the Functional Consultant
• Integration of the solution with the customer's legacy databases and 3 rd party systems
• Document custom developed functionality in accordance to documentation standards and best practices
• Implement add-ons and code from third parties
• Initial test of the developed functionality
• Data migration development and testing
• Timely completion of project
• Clear communication to consultants and management

Functional Module/ Vertical Development

• Understand Functional requirements in coordination with Senior Functional Consultant and document
• Convert functional requirements to technical specifications and design document
• Design & Develop functionalities as per functional document
• Conduct functional test together with the functional consultant to ensure functionalities are as expected
• Development within accepted time lines
• Well-structured design & user friendliness

The requirements:

• A relevant Bachelor degree attained from a reputable university
• 2 years relevant working experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge in C/AL Programming is must
• Must have an acquired knowledge and practical experience:

• Customizing NAV 2013, NAV 2015, NAV 2016, NAV 2017 or NAV 2018
• SOAP / REST webservices
• Report designing using SSRS / Report Builder

Dynamic NAV related certifications are a plus
Fluent in English - written & spoken. Excellent oral and written communication skills
Accustomed to flexible working practices and proven project, time & client - management skills
Ability to develop innovative and creative solutions to problems and to conceptualise and think creatively
Excellent communication& negotiation skills and time management skills
