ABOUT THE POSITION

We are looking for a Software Engineer who will work within the Integrations and Tools engineering team. Based in Melbourne Australia, the Software Engineer will develop and deliver mobile, frontend and backend services in line with the overall system architecture. The Software Engineer will build, learn, and iterate using agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), in addition to being involved and participate in the overall applications lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will focus on delivering excellence, and have the willingness to hustle and learn in a fast-paced environment.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING IN THE POSITION

• The Software Engineer duties will include designing and developing our cross-platform and third-party integrations, as well as working with other engineering teams to deliver critical internal tooling and capabilities.
• The Software Engineer will be responsible for producing detailed release notes for the product features and APIs to ensure the changes are communicated clearly to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Improving and maintaining all systems and services as required to ensure bug-free and stable operation of internal and external software systems, including maintaining a high level of unit test coverage.
• Expanding, documenting and maintaining the company’s in-house corporate technical expertise and knowledge, including through the sharing of technical information with managers and colleagues.
• Contributing to the company’s position as a highly innovative thought leader that is at the forefront of its industry, including by identifying emerging trends and opportunities.
• Personally upholding and continually promoting the company’s core values and mission, including its commitment to innovation, professionalism, and the highest quality delivery in all areas.
• Working with managers and colleagues to identify opportunities and risks, and comply with appropriate governance, systems and processes to ensure the effective operation of the company and the management of key risks.
• Assisting with the procurement, establishment and maintenance internal systems and procedures for the company, ensuring that technology standards and best practices are maintained across the organisation.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

A bachelor’s degree or higher in computing or engineering discipline. Postgraduate degrees will be well regarded.

A solid understanding of software engineering and computer science fundamentals.

Experience with the following technologies are very important for the position
